A shows the prototype of Ace's Destroyer costume. The most noticeable difference is the
top. If you look carefully, you will see that the silver line that surrounds the triangle
is only a single line. On picture B you see the common version, which has two, broader
lines, and much puffier "wings"! Another difference was the boots. A few
pictures were taken of the prototype, where you can see that the boots were shiny black,
unlike the silver boots on picture C that Ace later wore with the outfit. I may be
mistaken, but I think the black boots might be the same as on picture I in the Ace part of
the 1973-74 section.
Picture D shows the cuffs for the costume! Like the rest of the costume these were
a black material with rhinestones, and had silver borders. Compare the cuffs from the
prototype with the finished version on picture B... like the top these had a double silver
line, unlike the prototypes single line!
A slightly puffier top was added to the costume, when KISS started the Rock And Roll Over
tour.
Picture E shows Ace's costume from behind! As you can see, the space theme also extended
to the back!
