THE KISS TOURS 1973 - 2001

KISS BOX SET INFOS

It appears that the box set may have been put back a month until December, however I have received this first picture of it, whether the final release will look like this isn't known. This was featured in a Hilton Honors catalogue in the USA, the price quoted on the advert was $69.98 + postage, although as there are now 5 cd's instead of 4 the price will probably go up. I noticed that you had a news item dated 27.4.2000 regarding a fan (that would be me) who registered GeneSimmons.com. Well, the domain had actually been transferred to Gene's company in October 1999 and was continued as a fan site. Gene is going to be involved in the site starting this week or next week and it will be his official site.

RARE LIVE SHOTS FROM MARCH 26, 1974!
These pictures are rare, they were taken at one of the first ever KISS concerts on March 26, 1974 in Canada. If you take a look at the tourdates, this show is listed as the second show of the first tour, not considering the local New York Gigs they played before the first album came out. All pictures were taken by rock photographer Bill Parsons in St.Louis Mo. when the Rock Station KSHE held a Kite fly contest in Forest Park. The show was free, and KISS played their 1st album.

These pictures are rare and Bill Parsons would like to keep them that way. All  his photography of KISS is not to be sold. He kindly approved to put them online here on KISS NEWS. Click here to see those awesome shots.

GENE UPDATE ON BOX SET

Last Thursday, KISS Kollector Fanclub received another message from Gene: a questionnaire in which he updates us all on such topics as the forthcoming box set, Ace Frehley, the KISS Farewell Tour and more. In regards to the box set, Gene states there will be 100 songs - so, in fact there's indeed gonna be five discs now instead of the four discs as originally announced by the record company last month. Gene: "New songs, original demos and a great design - We didn't like the record company's idea, so we did it ourselves." The Swiss KISS Army will party on Saturday November 17, 2001 in Grenchen (state Solothurn/Soleure - Switzerland) at the local Musikpalast.
