Home Bootlegs
Please note, that many (especially earlier pressings of the '70s & '80s) came with an
inlay paper cover, which was just a simple copied sheet of paper. Usually all kind of
different colours of paper was used. Obviously they are not all counted as different
bootlegs. A different bootleg is counted as such, if it is a different pressing of the
vinyl. Old pressings often also have just a white label or something useless written on
it, which may differ from one to another.
Values are stated from min - average - max. Please note, that these are just rough
estimates. Prices on eBay may be totally different.

Album title: Wicked Lester

catalog number: R+G-2030 of Rockwell & Good
source: Wicked Lester album 1972 (side 1) ; original
Kiss Demos 1973 (side 2) and 2 Ace Frehley Demos 1984 (*)
format: 1 LP
cover: printed cover
recording quality: EX- studio recordings
released: 1987
value: between $ 30,- and $ 50,-
comment: this is the first Bootleg from the Wicked
Lester album and the early Kiss Demos. The Wicked Lester songs run a bit too fast.
"Sweet Ophelia" is missing. The Kiss Demos are also running a bit fast and the
low volume of "Deuce" is a problem. Released 1987. |

format: Picture Disc

released: in the mid '90s.
value: between $ 30,- and $ 50,-
comment: the album starts with 4 Alive II Demos
("Larger than life" is missing), followed by 2 Ace Frehley live songs and some
Kiss and Peter Criss Demos from 1977. The main part of side 2 contain a good copy of the
complete Kiss Demos from 1973, followed by 2 more tracks from Peter Criss, including the
original version of "Beth" (named "Beck") recorded by his old band
Chelsea in 1970. |

Album title: Music from The
Elder
catalog number: 3650 MX of rare Music
source: Warrior Demos 1981 (side 1) and The Elder
Demos 1981 (side 2)
format: 1 LP
cover: printed cover
recording quality: VG/VG+ studio recordings
released: 1985
value: between $ 30,- and $ 50,-
comment: the info on the back-cover about the
Warrior-Demos is completely wrong. "Don't run" is the original version of
"Dark light" with different lyrics. "Heaven" is a much longer version
of the song that ended up being "Carr Jam 1981" on the "Revenge"
album. "Young and wreckless" is actually from Helix and has nothing to do with
Kiss. There is a background noise on the entire album. |

Album title: Fancy Fair
catalog number: KI 001 of Polystar
source: compilation of Demos, outtakes and rare live
songs recorded
between 1968 (?) and 1984
format: 1 LP
cover: printed cover
recording quality: VG/VG+ studio recordings except (*)
which is an audience recording
released: 1985
value: between $ 30,- and $ 50,-
comment: this album is a compilation of rare tracks
incl. 1 song from Vinnie Vincent's Warrior Demos ("Boys are gonna rock") and a
Jam Session from one of the Swedish shows in 1984. The track "Ring Ding Doo" is
actually from a country singer named "Jumping Gene Simmons" from 1968.
"Suicide" is supposed to be an early Mark St. John Demo; most likely Dutch
release |

songs recorded between 1972 (?) and 1986
format: 1 LP
cover: printed cover
recording quality: VG/VG+ studio recordings except (*)
which are audience recordings
released: 1985
value: between $ 30,- and $ 50,-
comment: this album is a compilation of rare tracks
just like the partner-album "Fancy fair", it includes more outtakes from
"The Elder" and "Lick it up" and rare cover songs played live. The
tracks "Give it to you easy", "Thunder in my heart" and "1980's
Ladies" have nothing to do with Kiss actually. "Take it from me" is
supposed to be an early Mark St. John Demo; most likely Dutch release |
