KISS WILL NOT PERFORM
Only one day after it was confirmed, it has
just been announced through the official website, KISSONLINE, that Kiss have cancelled
their appearance at the benefit concert.
Quote:
The members of KISS
regretfully announce they will not perform at the United We Stand benefit concert at RFK
Stadium in Washington DC on October 21. Lead singer Paul Stanley postponed hip surgery (KISS NEWS reported on October 5) in the hope that the NY band could be a
part of the show; however, after starting initial physical preparation, it became apparent
that increasing pain and the possibility of further damage would not allow him to meet the
intense physical demands of a KISS performance. "Although I know that at this time I
cannot deliver what this audience will expect and deserve," Stanley said, "as
Americans, and as a band that was born in New York, we stand united with everyone involved
in this incredible event."
Pollstar confirmed Kiss' appearance at the benefit show already earlier (KISS NEWS
reported with doubts on October 9).

KISS BOX SET INFOS (PART 2)
According to Universal Germany it is not
sure yet, if the KISS Box Set will be available in Germany. The problem is the original logo, which would have to be changed. At the
moment there are discussions, if it is worth it to have a special print run for Germany or
not. All logos on the CD, in the book and on the box itself would have to be replaced with
the censored logo.

FREHLEY'S FURY
(from "gossip-section" of www.nypost.com via Gordon Gebert)
The following has been printed online at the New York Post - PAGE SIX
("gossip-section") on October 3, 2001. Article By RICHARD JOHNSON with PAULA
FROELICH and CHRIS WILSON:
ACE Frehley had a rough night Saturday. First, the KISS guitarist showed up
minus makeup at the Friars Roast of Hugh Hefner with a black eye (given to him by
his soon-to-be ex-girlfriend). Frehley then suffered the indignity of having his coveted
seat on the dais stolen by Jackie "The Joke Man" Martling, forcing
him to sit in the audience. Later, Frehley and his daughter Monique, 21, joined
Hef, his harem of hotties, and Rob Schneider at Spa, where a drunken clubgoer
groped and tried to kiss Monique. Frehley, his patience shot, responded by punching the
guy in the face.
