Concerning our website the multimedia pages will be up very soon, they will be absolutely amazing! Also we are in the middle of scanning thousends of the best photos for the photo-gallery.

The new issue of Clownwhite magazine will be published a few weeks later than planned. The reason for this delay is the fact, that the publishers will go to see KISS and want to put the reviews in the new issue.

Being asked what they will be doing after the tour is over, Gene said he will start a new record company, Ace might do some acting and do a new solo album and Peter said he will put out a jazz album on his own new label and he also wants to start his own website www.PeterCriss.com.   Also for the very first time Ace Frehley said very clearly that Peter Criss did not play any drums on "Psycho Circus" except on "Into the void" and that he played on just a few tracks on it.

PHENOMENAL RESPONSE!
The response for this website has been absolutely incredible so far. Thank you for all your e-mails with your comments and suggestions. Let us know, what else you would like to see on this site. What do you like so far, and what do you not like so far? Send your e-mail to comments@kissnews.net . If you have any contributionssingleDRCGermany.GIF (1427 Byte) (reviews, photos, whatever it is...), send it to us. So far only a very small part is done of the website. One part which is finished, is the German discography... click on the single to check it out. Unfortunately at the moment it is only available in German.

KISS IN EUROPE
Chances are little to see KISS in Europe on their Farewell Tour. The high value of the US $   makes it rather unlikely to see them again. German promoters show very little interest in doing another tour with KISS since it is only profitable if the shows are a sellout. At the moment no European tour is in the works, but plans may change since the Farewell tour is doing very well in the States. As soon as there are any plans, you will read it here in the news!

27.4.2000
BRUCE & ERIC IN EUROPE
Eric Singer has just completed a Swedish Tour with his band "Glamnation". He might return to Europe again this summer behind the drums playing with Alice Cooper. So far it is not confirmed that Eric Singer will be the drummer for Alice Coopers next tour, but it seems to be very likely. Also Bruce Kulick will soon return to Sweden to play a few more shows with his Band "Union".

THE REAL REASON WHY ALIVE IV HAS BEEN DELAYED

Itseems that KISS and their record company have different point of views as far as counting the release of "Alive IV" as part of their record contract or not. While the record company probably wanted a new studio album, Kiss gave them "only" a live-record for release. Now it seems that they couldn't agree in time, if the album does count as part of their record deal or not. It is said KISS would think about releasing "Alive IV" independently, if Universal will not put out the record as part of their record deal.  Whatever, this explanation why the album has been delayed sounds a lot more realistic than the official one. The official statement says, that "the reason for the delay is that the band missed their deadline for turning in the completed album" (!?).  This sounds rather unrealistic considering they had a deadline and knew about it and had over 3 months time (!) to hand it in, and since it is a live-record and everything has been taped already it actually doesn't even need the band to finish the record.

THE KISS EUROPE FAREWELL CAMPAIN

Kiss Army Sweden is starting a campaign to get KISS over to Europe. Every KISS fan should click on the banner and sign in. A list of all e-mails will be presented to the KISS management to show them that there is a big demand to see KISS in Europe as well.

PETER CRISS GUITAR PICK

pickPeterFarewellgreenausgeschnitten.gif (4512 Byte)Again there were Peter Criss guitar picks printed for the Farewell Tour, which he throws into the crowd instead of drumsticks at the encore. Peter does not throw his sticks into the crowd, because he is afraid he could hurt somebody. As most of you might have noticed, also Paul is usually not throwing his broken guitar into the crowd. He is aware that people would start fighting for it. Most of the times he just throws it into the photo-pit.

19.4.2000
ALIVE IV

It seems that the record company cancelled the realease of "Alive IV" in the very last second. Some promotional material has been printed already, it is listed in the new Tourbook in the discography and there is also a full page advert in the new Metal Edge Special. In the advert it says "including Hard luck women", although the band has never played that song live in concert ...!?

NEW TOURBOOK

tourbookFarewelltour2000.GIF (3961 Byte)The new Tourbook is in the same size than the Reunion Reunion-Tourbook, but is much thicker, it has about   60 pages and includes the complete history of the band. It also includes many photos without make-up and a complete list of all concerts KISS have ever played. Unfortunately the listing of these shows are not correct, there are many obvious mistakes. All in all the tourbook is really great and includes some never before seen old  photos. The cost is $ 30,- at the concert. The tourbook will soon be available in the Fan Shop.

VINNIE VINCENT LAWSUIT

The lawsuit filed by Vincent Vincent against KISS has been dismissed in its entirety. Vinnie "the wig" Vincent (real name: Cusano) was the lead guitarist from late 1982 until early 1984. He recently frequntly ripped off many fans (more about his criminal activities on this site very soon). All claims  were rejected by the court. KISS, through its attorney's Lavely & Singer in Los Angeles and William Randolph in New York, vigorously defended against the lawsuit, and the court systematically dismissed each of the claims, ultimately rendering judgment in favor of the band and the record company on all claims. The court also awarded attorney's fees and costs in favor of KISS and against Cusano in an amount exceeding $80,000. If Mr. Cusano knows how it feels sleeping under a bridge?

KISS CONCERTS ARE DOING WELL

According to Kissonline KISS sold on their Farewell Tour so far 95 % of all tickets (on the Reunion tour in was 97%). According to  www.Billboard.com KISS sold recently 20.760 tickets grossing $ 908.025,- in ticket sales alone in San Antonio, Texas on March 31. In Oakland, CA 14.494 tickets were sold on March 23. Average ticket-price on the tour is about $ 50,-.

TOUR MERCHANDISE

You are able to get KISSTORY II at the shows for $ 150,- as well as about 20 different shirts for about $ 30,- each, and a mosaic poster of each member for $ 10,- each. KISSTORY II

I received several reviews of KISSTORY II. In the book you can only find merchandise, mainly bootleg-stuff, drawings from never released merchandise, tattoos and photos from collections from fans. The printing quality of some photos is very poor and there are usually no descriptions to the photos. It also contains a poster of the Playboy girls... censored (!?). It has again 440 pages.

KISS WILL NOT SPLIT UP!

The rumour is going around, that KISS will completely split up. This is not true. The only thing KISS announced was that they will not go on tour again with Peter and Ace in make-up. KISS will still exist and  there will be records and merchandise coming out. It seems that the long awaited box-set will finally be available then. And who knows, they might do single shows here and there or get back together with Bruce and Eric Singer... Paul also said he might do another solo-tour or visit KISS conventions. But in fact you can expect, that it will be quiet for a while about the band because the contracts with Peter and Ace are running out and it seems that the four couldn't agree financially how to split the money in the future.
