ERIC SINGERS FIRST INTERVIEW
(From KISSonline)
Eric Singer has been laying low since rejoining KISS for the Australia and Japan shows.
While in Los Angeles yesterday for other KISS business, KISSONLINE sat down and talked to
Eric... his first interview since rejoining KISS.
Some interesting tidbits for you while the interview is being edited:
-Eric will be doing a drum solo during "God Of Thunder."
-"Beth" is being replaced by "I Was Made For Loving You."
-Eric will be singing "Black Diamond."
-Eric will be doing the flaming drumsticks trick during the show.
Eric also talked about how he came to rejoin KISS, how he found out he was back. He talks
about wearing the makeup, and putting it on for the first time. Stay tuned!
Eric also appeared with the rest of KISS on TV for the very first time as the
Catman, yesterday morning on the 'Today Show' (Australian breakfast news program).

On May 19, 2001 Black Star Entertainment Group is going to stage the first ever Puerto
Rico KISS Expo. We are looking for KISS vendors that would like to come and sell their
merchandise at our convention. We are honored to have the KISS tribute band, Love Gun and

NEWS FROM PHIL...
(from Phil)
I'd like to know if you can link my yahoo club on your site maybe under my profile if you
can it's Yahoo! Clubs
thehottestbandintheworld, I always can use more members. My friends band NYB are in
the studio finishing mixing there album, it's kicks ass, they are really cool, there
are photos of them posted on my site in the photo section, the band is produced by Richie
Scarlet. I was in the studio with my friend Johnny P, the drummer, and Richie Scarlet
Friday night. Richie has seen Ace last Thursday at Richie's new home, Ace wanted to check
out Richie's new hutt. Richie and Johnny are doing some of the finishing touches on
the album, the
album not titled yet, but I heard the songs and they kick ass, and NYB are gonna be
playing the Kiss Expo in late April in NJ at the Rothmans center. Kiss might be playing
the final shows at the time of the Expo, let's hope not the same night as the concerts,
but maybe on a Sunday after the last Kiss show it would work perfect for people that are
flying in to NYC. Richie also has an album coming out with familiar artist's on it like
ACE, plus others, it's gonna be out soon, too. He's busy putting the finishing touches on
that album. I took some photos, I gotta get them developed of Richie in the studio, they
will be posted up on my site too soon. That's what's been going on in NYC lately. Rock on
and Peace out.

SINGER IN CRISS MAKE-UP CONFIRMED BY KISS MANAGEMENT
(from Stefanie Kuschel)
I was told by the KISS Management yesterday, that Eric Singer indeed will be wearing
Peters make-up. A few days ago I have been told he will be getting a new make-up design.
It seems they have changed their mind. I do not know, if the Japanese and Australian
promoters have something to do with that. I was also told, that there are no negotiations
yet with European promoters. I should get more details today and post them to you as soon
as possible.

CURRENT SITUATION ABOUT KISS
Since the official announcement on
January 31st, 2001 on Kiss' official website "Kissonline" about the line-up
change, the band has made no further statement yet. It was left unclear, what make-up Eric
Singer will be wearing on the Japanese and Australian tours. Speculations on the internet
went crazy, some people already saw also Ace leaving Kiss, or band members posting
messages on private message boards. Recently Peter Criss made a statement through
"Kiss Asylum", a private website, but not through Kiss' official website. It
seems the band has not made a definite decisssion yet as to what make-up Eric Singer will
be wearing. While earlier reports say he will get a new make-up design, it looks like they
have changed their mind now and want Eric to wear Peters make-up, but we all have to wait
for a definate final statement from the band.

OFFICIAL STATEMENT FROM PETER CRISS
(from www.kissasylum.com )
KissAsylum.com was contacted by a representative of Peter Criss tonight. It appears that
Peter did not quit the band as reported elsewhere online, and KissAsylum.com was asked us
to pass on to all the online fans the following, official statement from Peter about the
current situation:
"I would like to express my love and affection to the KISS Army and my fans.
It is unfortunate Gene and Paul choose to terminate their association with me for the
Japan and the Australian tour dates. I am healthy and will truly miss performing for the
Australian and Japanese audiences. In light of the circumstances, I wish the best of
success to all.
Love,
Peter Criss - "Catman"

GENE SIMMONS COMMENTS ON THE RADIO
(from ESPRESSO1971@aol.com)
Gene Simmons called in to WNEW
102.7 in New York's Eddie Trunk Sat. night rock show to talk about the Peter Criss
situation. Here are the details he covered:
1. Peter is NOT out of KISS
2. Peter didn't accept KISS' contractual offer for the Australia/Japan tour only.
3. The door is wide open for Peter to play the final show with KISS. Gene stated he, and
everyone is saddened by this turn of events, and told Peter the band wanted him to be in
the overseas tour, but the lawyers for both parties could not come to an
agreement.
4. Neither parties are mad at eachother
5. Eric Singer WILL be in Peter's make-up and costume
6. Eric will play the songs true to the way Peter recorded them on the albums, and will
not use his double kick drum set.
7. Gene said he is aware of all the internet bulletin board postings and that fans are
very upset, and blaming him and Paul for this turn of events. He stressed he wants the
fans to understand that there is much more to operating a band than just him saying what
does and doesn't happen. He stated that professional bands are businesses and sometimes
things happen like this, whether it is or isn't what the band members want. He stated that
the band
wanted Peter on this tour, but the lawyers for both parties, NOT THE BAND MEMBERS,
have total control over all of these types of contractual deals.
8. More dates have been added to both Australia and Japan
9. KISS will return to play the final show in only ONE city in the USA
10. KISS will discuss what changes, if any, will be made to the set list when rehearsals
begin
Gene was very honest and candid towards the whole situation, and repeatedly wanted to
stress that, whether the fans believe it or not, they mean everything to him and the band,
and he hopes KISS does them justice with these final shows on this tour. He added that he
hopes Peter will be there for the final show, so they can end it all as they began it all.

GENE WANTED TO BE A MILLIONAIRE...
(from Phil)
I attended the taping of "Who wants to be a millionaire" with Gene
Simmons. He didn't come in make-up, he seemed like he had a sore throat, because he was
clearing his that a lot, he mentioned his foundation the Neil Bogart for cancer research
and that he's doing a book and a movie about his life story, and what a hell of a guy Neil
was. Gene's first question was what type of instrument is a plug in instrument, the answer
was guitar. Then Gene talked about how he was a foreigner when he came to America and that
if you got a
dream you can do anything you want to do here, then whipped out his Kiss credit card,
raised his eyebrows in Gene Simmons fashion a couple of times and said 'see even you
can have your face on a credit card one day', it was a kind of cute the statement.
Gene then had his first hard question after answering about 3 others he was on a roll at
first, gotta watch the show for the question he had, but it wasn't easy and everyone else
didn't really have a clue and Gene was to hasty to answer it, so he said final answer and
didn't use a lifeline darn, but he gave a good go at it.
